How to Use Your SaunaSpace® Near Infrared Sauna

Near Infrared Lamp Saunas are used somewhat differently than far-infrared and wet saunas.

General Guidelines

  • Wait 1-2 hours after eating before use.
  • Stay hydrated, 8-16 oz. of room temperature spring or carbon-filtered water is ideal before & after.
  • If you feel sick, faint, or have any kind of significant distress during sauna therapy turn the sauna off and exit.
  • Limit initial sessions to 20-30 minute once a day. Duration can be increased over time up to 60 min not exceeding 2 hours per day.
  • If you feel sick, faint, or have any kind of significant distress during sauna therapy turn the sauna off and exit.
  • Supervision is a good idea especially when beginning a sauna therapy program. If you are alone, have someone check on you by phone.
  • First thing in the morning or last thing at night are the best times for sauna therapy
  • Be careful of jewelry which may become uncomfortably hot.
